Meet the Staff
Doris De Jesus Levy, LCSW
Owner/Psychotherapist
Thank you for taking this important step towards your emotional wellbeing. I know that this process can be difficult for many people and I am here to help alleviate some of that stress. I believe that through compassion, individual connection, empathy, and the right therapeutic and holistic interventions, individuals can become healthier, happier and improve their overall wellbeing. I use a variety of clinical and therapeutic approaches. Providing excellent care to all my clients has always being my top priority.
I enjoy connecting with individuals and assisting them through the self-discovery process where they make connections between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. We then work together to develop healthy coping skills, recover from trauma, and improve emotional wellbeing. The therapeutic process is unique to each individual and such an extremely rewarding aspect of my work.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Supervisor in the state of New Jersey. I have worked in the mental health field for over 15 years. During the last ten years, I have focused on working with adolescents and young adults who struggle with trauma related issues, depression, anxiety, adjustment, grief and loss, child abuse/neglect, stress, sexual identity, school and behavioral problems as well as family issues.
I am passionate about my work and I am looking forward to providing excellent, intuitive and compassionate services to meet your needs.
Kayita Ridoré, MA/Ed.S, LAC
Mental Health Counselor
Kayita (Kai) is a licensed associate counselor committed to treating young
adolescents and adults. Her clinical interests lie in treating individuals who struggle
with Anxiety, Depression, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, grief & loss, self-esteem,
transitioning, phobias, relationship issues, career dilemmas., and issues stemming from
self-identity.
Kai uses a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered approach in working with
clients. Kai uses a cognitive change approach to assist the client in changing the way
they see things, event’s, their environment, and how it influences their behavior. Using
an integrative model of change, Kai also highlights the strengths of different theories
to fit the client’s identified needs. She believes there are constraints in a client’s life
that impedes their ability to identify and reach goals. Using this perspective, she can
begin on a behavioral level to work on changes in action, and if the client continues to
feel stuck, the treatment continues to address cognitions and underlying emotions, to
identify where progress is constrained.
Kai received her master’s degree in professional counseling from South Orange, NJ at
Seton Hall University. She has extensive training in crisis intervention, biopsychosocial
assessments, individual sessions, and substance use experience regarding
manifestations of trauma in young adolescents and adults.
